Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support day-to-day store operations, customers, and team development in Roswell, GA.

You will assist with merchandise flow, training, scheduling, payroll, loss prevention, and ensuring a clean, well-organized sales floor and stockroom. This role requires strong communication and customer service, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and uphold company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and answer questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain store fixtures, displays, and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits and receipts, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Follow policies, procedures, and safety guidelines; ensure staff compliance.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop store associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, bathrooms, floors, and trash removal; ensure neatness.
