Job summary

Family Dollar in Keyser, West Virginia is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service and staff development. You will help with merchandising, opening/closing tasks, and implementing corporate directives while maintaining a welcoming shopping environment.

The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and prior store-management experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and maintain store displays and cleanliness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll and cash handling.
• Supervise and develop Store Associates; enforce safety and policies.
