Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Southwick, MA to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities and ensure a well-run, welcoming store.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, and moving activities.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and provide customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Support training and development of Store Associates.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect store assets, including cash, and comply with safety guidelines.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and loss prevention.
• Adhere to policies and procedures and ensure staff follow them.
