Job description

Enhance the ALDI customer shopping experience in a collaborative team environment as an ALDI Cashier or Stocker. As a member of our team, you’ll operate registers or other machinery, stock shelves, maintain store appearance, and serve customers. Start a job that offers something new each day.

Position Details:

• Type: Part-Time
• Average Hours: Less than 30 hours per week
• Starting Wage: $17.50 per hour
• Wage Increases: Year 2 - $18.00, Year 3 - $18.50, Year 4 - $18.50, Year 5 - $19.50

Responsibilities:

Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

1. Collaborate with team members and communicate relevant information to the direct leader.
2. Maintain security and confidentiality of documents and data within your responsibility.
3. Perform other duties as assigned.

Cashier Responsibilities:

1. Process customer purchases, perform cleaning duties, stock shelves and merchandise displays neatly.
2. Provide exceptional customer service and assist shoppers.
3. Give feedback to management on products, inventory, scanning errors, and issues.
4. Participate in inventory counts and monitor inventory accuracy.
5. Follow cash handling policies to minimize losses.

Stocker Responsibilities:

1. Stock shelves, rotate products, and ensure freshness.
2. Follow merchandising planograms for attractive displays.
3. Organize new inventory and break down empty boxes.
4. Operate machinery safely following all safety procedures.

Physical Demands:

Regularly sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk about the store. Stockers must be able to lift up to 45 pounds and handle merchandise from receiving to shelving.

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Provide prompt, courteous customer service.
• Perform cleaning duties to company standards.
• Interpret and apply company policies.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Effective time management.
• Knowledge of company products and services.
• Operate cash register efficiently (Cashier).
• Comply with regulations for handling alcohol (Cashier).
• Operate equipment safely (Stocker).
• Availability for morning shifts starting as early as 5:00 a.m. (Stocker).

Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail experience preferred.
• Equivalent knowledge through education and experience.
