Job summary

The Honey Baked Ham Company, LLC is seeking a part-time team member for our Chicago area stores. This role offers flexible schedules ideal for students, teachers, or anyone needing accommodating hours.

You will assist customers in-store and by phone, participate in food preparation, and help maintain a clean, welcoming retail space. Previous customer service or food prep experience is a plus, and candidates with restaurant, grocery, or hotel backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills and attention to detail.
• Prior customer service or food preparation experience preferred, e.g., cook, cashier, crew member, sales associate.

Responsibilities

• Assist phone customers, catering customers, in-store lunch customers and in-store retail customers, providing excellent service in a friendly and polite manner.
• Assist with food preparation, including lunch, catering and retail ham and turkey.
• Demonstrate product knowledge and articulate product features and benefits; drive add-on sales.
• Maintain store cleanliness and merchandising standards.
• Take initiative and stay productive during shifts; take responsibility for activities within your control.
• Follow all processes and procedures and comply with company standards in all areas.
