Job summary

Smart & Final in La Habra, CA is hiring a Part-Time Associate for 422 La Habra. Join our store operations team to manage stocking, customer service, and cashier duties in a fast-paced environment.

You will assist customers, handle transactions, and help maintain store displays while supporting inventory and sanitation standards in the store and parking lot. This role emphasizes teamwork and reliable service.

Qualifications

• Read and write English, interact with general public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Present information in one-on-one and small group settings to customers and staff.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a store section as assigned and stock merchandise with proper pricing and rotation.
• Clean and maintain sanitation standards in all interior and exterior areas.
• Operate a cash register, take payments, make change, and process refunds as approved.
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous customer service and assist customers to their vehicles when needed.
• Perform basic bookkeeping duties and track lost/damaged goods.
