Job summary

SpartanNash in Grand Haven, MI, seeks a Part-Time Convenience Store Associate to stock products, operate the front-end, and deliver strong guest experiences. You will process transactions, assist with loyalty enrollment, and ensure accurate pricing and signage while maintaining a clean, safe store environment.

The role requires basic math, good communication, and prior retail experience preferred. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with flexibility to work across departments as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Good verbal communication skills; ability to interact politely and effectively with customers.
• Good customer service and organizational skills; detail-oriented.
• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.

Responsibilities

• Process transactions (cash, checks, credit cards, coupons, loyalty) accurately per policy.
• Assist in receiving, unloading and stocking products.
• Run the cash register and enroll guests in loyalty programs; maintain a clean service area.
• Report pricing or signage errors and ensure correct PLUs.
• Help communicate store programs, in-store specials, and coupons to customers.
• Maintain department cleanliness and comply with safety and sanitation procedures.
• Assist with stocking items on sales floor, cooler, and back room; follow PPE and safety guidelines.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments as needed.
