Job summary

The Cool Hardware Company is seeking energetic Store Associates/Cashiers to join our team. You’ll help professionals and DIYers find the right accessories, provide legendary service, and assist with stocking and cashiering tasks in a fast-paced hardware environment.

We’ll train you even if you’re new to hardware. This role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 40 lbs, and flexible hours including weekends and holidays; Spanish speaking is a plus and equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs frequently.
• Stand for extended periods of time.
• Flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Retail experience preferred; home improvement knowledge helpful.
• Spanish speaking is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in receiving, stocking, and pricing of all merchandise.
• Cashiering (handling money, giving accurate change).
• Maintain clean and orderly store appearance.
• Deliver customer service with enthusiasm and genuine interest in ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Communicate clearly, effectively, and politely with customers in store and over the phone.

Job description

This is a permanent position, and applicants must be 18 years of age or older. Applicants must be available to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays, with weekend and holiday availability being especially important. Basic hardware knowledge or previous hardware/retail experience is preferred. Applicants must also be comfortable with physical work, including lifting and moving merchandise during truck delivery days.
