Job summary

West Coast Self-Storage in Bellingham is seeking a friendly Assistant Property Manager to support day-to-day leasing and customer service. This part-time role is ideal for candidates with retail sales experience who want to grow within our career path.

You will show units, guide customers through leasing, handle cash and office tasks, and maintain property standards. Schedule includes Mon, Fri, Sat with up to 24 hours per week and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Retail sales experience is preferred.
• Cash handling experience.
• Excellent customer service skills and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to self-manage and work independently to meet objectives.
• Willingness to work weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Show available units and guide customers through the leasing process.
• Meet retail sales and occupancy objectives.
• Provide exceptional customer service including assessing customers storage needs (in person, phone and web inquiries).
• Manage, audit and balance cash drawer and petty cash.
• General office tasks, e.g., filing, managing customer accounts, sorting mail/deliveries.
• Maintain property to West Coast’s Clean & Operational standards (cleaning vacated units, sweeping, mopping, changing light bulbs).
