Job summary

Ace Retail Group in the United States is seeking a STIHL Technician with mechanical aptitude and experience in small engine repair to assist customers and repair STIHL power equipment.

The STIHL Technician will handle equipment repairs, parts orders, and check-in/out processes while maintaining maintenance schedules. You will deliver strong customer service, merchandise products, and engage Ace Rewards members in-store.

Qualifications

• High School or GED equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, assembly directions, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

• Effective communication skills (verbal and written).

• Standing, walking, bending, lifting (up to 50lbs) regularly, and lifting (up to 100lbs) occasionally with assistance, and climbing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and adjustments.
• Follow maintenance checklists for store recovery and cleanliness.
• Engage customers to highlight Ace Rewards benefits and encourage participation.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers and perform other duties as assigned.

General Summary

The STIHL Technician will be mechanically inclined and have experience in small engine repair and equipment maintenance, preferably with STIHL power equipment. The STIHL Technician will have the ability to show consumers how to properly use a wide variety of STIHL power equipment.

In addition, this position will be responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service, generating sales, merchandise products, own assigned departments, and supports the store management team.

Equipment Repair:

• - Ensures equipment is repaired, safe, and ready to process.
• - Orders repair parts as needed for equipment repair.
• - Validates proper check in and check out of equipment.
• - Maintains repair schedule and regular maintenance schedules for all STIHL equipment.
• - Identifies and notifies management of any pricing irregularities in the system

Customer Service & Sales :

• - Ensure customers are provided with the highest levels of customer service.
• - Completes all company and departmental paperwork accurately, including Price Change Bulletins, Operation Actions, Red Tags, and Bin Tags.
• - Receives, opens, and unpacks cartons or crates of merchandise, checking paperwork against items received when required, and replenishes stock when necessary.
• - Displays and maintains merchandise on end caps, shelves, counters or tables following company plan-o-gram, building displays when necessary to attract customers and promote sales within specified guidelines by your management team.
• - Maintains on-hand integrity through inventory adjustment reports including; cycle count, negative on-hand.
• - Follows the maintenance checklist to ensure proper store recovery and cleanliness.
• - Maintains familiarity with new products and ad merchandise.
• - Engage the customer to ensure they are receiving all the benefits of being an Ace Rewards member and actively seeking participation from them.
• - Must be able to communicate effectively, and work with colleagues and customers effectively and professionally.
• - Perform all other duties as assigned.
