Job summary

Foundation Surgical Hospital in Texas is seeking a part-time Sterile Processing Technician to maintain and care for all surgical instruments and to prepare supplies for surgery cases. This role supports the OR workflow and requires attention to detail and adherence to sterile technique.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, 1–2 years of Sterile Processing experience, and certification where possible.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of Sterile Processing experience.
• Completion of a Sterile Process Certification program is preferred.
• CBSPD or IACHSMM required.
• Experience with all types of sterilizers.
• Knowledge of operating room instrumentation and procedures.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items.
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions of the patient when needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and cares for all surgical instruments.
• Prepares supplies and instruments for surgery cases.
