Intermountain Health Logan Regional Hospital is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to ensure proper handling of surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment across levels 1–3. The role involves disassembly, cleaning, packaging, sterilization, and inventory management within a hospital setting.

Levels 1–3 require increasing competencies and certification (HSPA). The position is part-time with hourly pay ranges listed for each level, and a focus on accuracy, safety, and effective

Formación

• Must attain Central Processing Certification from HSPA within one year of hire date.
• Central Processing Certification from HSPA required for Level 2-3.
• High School Diploma; CER/CIS Level 3 preferred; experience with Sterile Processing software.

Responsabilidades

• Disassemble, clean, decontaminate, and disinfect basic surgical instruments.
• Identify, Assemble, protect, wrap, contain, peel pack, label and sterilize basic surgical instruments.
• Print off a needs list and collect all necessary items for surgical/medical procedures.
• Issue sterile supplies to hospital areas; issue and receive durable, moveable equipment.
• Perform basic inventory duties as required.
• Communicate effectively with providers, caregivers, and vendors.
• Disassemble, clean, decontaminate, sterilize instruments for Level 2 with higher acuity procedures.
• Validate all basic competencies for Sterile Processing within our education system.
• Locate, read and perform a manufacturer’s instructions for use (IFU).
• Perform and document daily/weekly testing of decontamination and sterilization equipment.
