Job summary

Baltimore City Department of Recreation and Parks (BCRP) seeks a dependable part-time STEM/STEAM Program Designer to create content and lead Rec2Tech activities across city recreation centers. The role supports after-school programming and engages students in hands-on STEM/STEAM experiences.

Responsibilities include developing curricula, delivering courses (Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer), and coordinating with staff.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's (or pursuing) in Education or STEM/STEAM content area.
• Experience teaching or leading programs for K-12 or adults; curriculum development is a plus.
• Bi-lingual candidate preferred.
• Equivalency: combination of education and experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Content Development – design courses, create syllabus and lessons for Rec2Tech.
• Program Delivery – teach 1 course per session (10–20 hours); supervise 10–15 students.
• Administrative Support – track attendance and complete surveys; assist with recruiting.
