Job summary

Snapology of Lancaster and Reading is seeking a Part-Time Program Instructor to lead after-school STEM/STEAM classes for children ages 4-14 at the Lancaster center and partner sites.

This role offers approximately 10-15 hours per week with shifts between 2:30 PM and 8:30 PM. Training and curriculum are provided; no teaching certification is required. A reliable schedule and transportation are important, with chances for extra hours through events.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a group or structured setting (teaching certification not required).
• Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to confidently lead activities after completing training.
• Availability for four afternoons/evenings each week.
• Reliable transportation to the Snapology center and local partner locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead Engaging Programs: Teach fun, hands-on STEM/STEAM enrichment classes using Snapology's curriculum, LEGO Bricks, robotics, and materials.
• Inspire Young Builders: Create a positive, inclusive environment where children build confidence, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Facilitate Memorable Experiences: Lead after-school programs at the Snapology center and local schools, engaging ages 4-14.
• Represent Snapology: Build positive relationships with children, families, and school partners while maintaining a safe learning environment.
• Prepare & Wrap Up: Set up materials before classes and clean up afterward for the next group.
