Job summary

Snapology of Lancaster is looking for a Part-Time Program Instructor to lead hands-on STEM/STEAM programs for kids. The role uses Snapology’s curriculum, LEGO Bricks, robotics, and related tools; no lesson planning is needed as materials are provided.

You’ll foster a positive, inclusive environment, build confidence and collaboration, and work four afternoons/evenings weekly with a consistent schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in group or structured settings.
• Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent communication skills.
• Availability for four afternoons/evenings each week.
• Reliable transportation to the Snapology center and local partner locations.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.

• Lead Engaging Programs: Teach hands-on STEM/STEAM classes using Snapology curriculum, LEGO Bricks, robotics, and other tools; no lesson planning required as curriculum and materials are provided.
• Inspire Young Builders: Foster a positive, inclusive environment to build confidence, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving.
• Facilitate Memorable Experiences: Lead after-school programs at Snapology center and local schools, engaging ages 4–14.
• Represent Snapology: Build positive relationships with children, families, and schools while maintaining a safe, organized learning space.
• Prepare & Wrap Up: Set up materials before classes and clean up after to ready the space for the next group.

Location: Lancaster, PA

Are you energetic, reliable, and passionate about working with kids? Snapology of Lancaster is looking for a Part-Time Program Instructor to lead engaging, hands-on programs that inspire children to build, create, collaborate, and solve problems.

This is a great opportunity for college students, education majors, substitute teachers, paraprofessionals, homeschool parents, retirees, or anyone looking for meaningful part-time work with a consistent weekly schedule.

Schedule

Approximately 10-15 hours per week over four afternoons/evenings. Typical working hours fall between 2:30 PM and 8:30 PM, with most shifts occurring between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM.

A consistent weekly schedule will be established, with minor adjustments possible based on program enrollment, seasonal programming, and special events.

Enjoy a consistent weekly schedule with opportunities to earn additional hours through field trips, birthday parties, camps, Saturday programs, and special events.

What You'll Do

• Lead Engaging Programs: Teach fun, hands-on STEM/STEAM enrichment classes using Snapology's provided curriculum, LEGO® Bricks, robotics, and other interactive learning tools. No lesson planning required—we provide the curriculum, training, and materials you need to be successful.
• Inspire Young Builders: Create a positive, inclusive environment where children build confidence, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills through hands-on learning.
• Facilitate Memorable Experiences: Lead after-school programs at the Snapology center and local schools, adapting your instruction to engage children ages 4-14 while ensuring every child feels included and encouraged.
• Represent Snapology: Build positive relationships with children, families, and school partners while maintaining a safe, organized, and welcoming learning environment.
• Prepare & Wrap Up: Set up program materials before classes and clean up afterward so each learning space is ready for the next group.
