We're looking for an enthusiastic, dependable Part-Time STEM Instructor to help launch and grow our weekday homeschool programs.

This is a great opportunity for a college student, aspiring educator, STEM enthusiast, or technology professional who enjoys sharing knowledge and helping young learners succeed.

You don't need to be an expert in every technology we teach. We provide established curriculum, equipment, and instructional training. What matters most is your ability to connect with students, communicate clearly, and create an engaging learning environment.

What You'll Do

• Lead small-group, instructor-guided STEM classes for school-age children.
• Teach introductory coding, computer science, and technology concepts using iCode's curriculum.
• Help students complete hands-on activities and projects.
• Encourage creativity, problem-solving, collaboration, and confidence.
• Prepare classroom materials and equipment before each session.
• Monitor student progress and maintain a positive, organized learning environment.
• Collaborate with the iCode team to improve the student experience.

Schedule and Growth Opportunities

We're hiring for an immediate need in our expanding homeschool program.

You must be consistently available on Mondays and Tuesdays during daytime hours.

The position begins with approximately 4–6 paid hours per week, including scheduled instructional and related work time.

Our goal is to expand homeschool enrollment and add classes as demand grows. Successful instructors may have opportunities to take on additional paid hours through:

• Expanded weekday homeschool classes.
• Afternoon and evening STEM programs.
• School-break and holiday camps.
• Spring and summer STEM camps.
• Additional teaching and instructional leadership responsibilities.

Additional hours depend on enrollment, program schedules, instructor availability, and business needs. They are not guaranteed.

Who We're Looking For

Required qualifications

• Consistent Monday and Tuesday daytime availability.
• Interest in coding, robotics, engineering, computer science, or related STEM subjects.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage, encourage, and manage small groups of children.
• Dependability, professionalism, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work on-site in Riverview, Florida.
• MUST pass drug test and MUST pass a background check.

Preferred qualifications

• Current enrollment in or completion of a computer science, engineering, education, IT, or related program.
• Experience mentoring, tutoring, coaching, or working with children.
• Familiarity with introductory programming, Scratch, Python, robotics, or similar technologies.
• Experience explaining technical concepts to beginners.

Previous classroom teaching experience is helpful but not required.
