Job summary

iCode San Ramon seeks an Instructor to lead K–12 STEM programs, mentor instructors, and ensure engaging, high-quality classes aligned with the belt system.

You’ll guide students through Scratch, Python, Java, HTML/CSS, and more while maintaining classroom energy and safety; collaboration and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High energy individual with teaching experience.
• 3+ years of teaching experience in STEM or related field.
• Knowledge of programming languages: Scratch, Python, Java, C#, HTML/CSS, .NET MAUI, Linux, or TCP/IP.
• Comfortable using both Mac and Windows systems.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Available to work between 3 PM and 7 PM on weekdays.
• High school diploma is required.

Position Overview

The Instructor serves as the anchor of classroom excellence at iCode San Ramon. You’ll guide K–12 students through structured STEM programs while mentoring other instructors to deliver an engaging, high-quality learning experience. This role is perfect for an educator or engineer passionate about coding, robotics, and mentoring young minds. You’ll be a ensuring each class is organized, motivating, and aligned with iCode’s belt system.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach coding, robotics, and STEM courses using iCode curriculum (Scratch, Python, Java, C#, HTML, CSS, etc.).
• Mentor and coach junior instructors to maintain iCode’s teaching standards.

• Communicate regularly with parents on student performance.
• Support the Campus Director in planning and executing programs and events.
• Provide feedback on curriculum and suggest instructional improvements.

Required Qualifications

• High Enegery individual with experience with teaching experience.
• 3+ years experience teaching in STEM or related field
• Knowledge of one or more programming languages: Scratch, Python, Java, C#, HTML/CSS, .NET MAUI, Linux, or TCP/IP.
• Comfortable using both Mac and Windows systems.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Available to work between 3 PM and 7 PM on weekdays.
• Must be dependable, collaborative, and student-focused.
• High school diploma required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GameMaker, Unity, or robotics platforms (VEX, LEGO, Arduino).
• Familiarity with Agile or project-based learning.
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.

Compensation & Hours

• Part-time or Full-time (Flexible)
• Competitive pay based on experience (typically $25 - $40/hr)
