Job summary

Hale Centre Theatre in Utah is seeking Part-Time Stage Technicians to support live stage performances under the Technical Director, Show Operations. The role focuses on technical aspects of shows to ensure a seamless theatre experience.

Candidates should have 3–5 years in running crew or related live entertainment, with skills in rigging, carpentry, props, scenic painting, and related disciplines. The job demands physical work and availability six days a week, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of experience running crew and/or maintaining large scale productions.
  • Proven technical experience in live entertainment in disciplines: Show Run Crews, Rigging, Carpentry, Props, Scenic Dressing, Scenic Painting.
  • Operate, troubleshoot and maintain equipment for theatrical and live entertainment venues.
  • Basic electrical circuitry and basic carpentry skills.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical principles.
  • Knowledge of theatrical terminology and documentation.
  • Rigging and counterweight fly systems understanding.
  • Ability to lift 70 lbs+, climb and stand for long periods.
  • Full availability up to six days a week, including afternoons/nights/weekends/holidays.
  • Pass drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scenic transitions during run of show.
  • Maintain scenic and prop elements for the duration of the show.
  • Participate in load in and load outs between shows and other duties assigned.
