Job summary

NORY, Inc. is seeking a School Break Day Camp Staff Development Coach to train and empower camp leaders and teachers. You will observe, mentor, and develop Site Leaders and teachers during school-break programs and select days when schools are closed, across Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Boston.

The role focuses on strengthening staff performance, ensuring safe, engaging camps for ages 3-12, and maintaining high standards of protocol compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in educational leadership, particularly in managing and training teaching staff (5+ years).
• Strong coaching and mentoring skills with a track record of improving staff performance.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Observe, train, and coach Site Leaders and teachers at School Break Day Camps to enhance performance and foster a positive learning environment.
• Mentor Site Leaders on effective coaching techniques and collaborate to develop teachers and staff.
• Ensure NORY protocols are consistently implemented across camps, upholding safety and quality standards.
• Provide guidance on behavior management and parent communication when needed.
• Collaborate with headquarters teams (curriculum, operations, customer happiness) to improve staff support.
