Job summary

NORY, Inc. in New York is seeking a School Break Day Camp Site Leader to guide a NYC camp site during school breaks. You will lead a team of educators, ensure campers have a safe, engaging, and enriching experience, and communicate effectively with parents.

Hours run 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM with extended care options. The role emphasizes leadership, staff coaching, and building strong relationships with families while upholding NORY’s values.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and coaching a team of 4+ teachers.
• Proven ability to build strong relationships with campers' families.
• 4+ years teaching children (ages 3–13), preferably with a focus on STEM.
• Growth mindset and willingness to learn and adopt new technology and skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach and Inspire: Lead campers with engaging activities that reflect NORY’s core values.
• Coach and Train Educators: Mentor staff ensuring protocols for a fun and safe camp environment.
• Nurture and Support Campers and Their Families: Build relationships to enhance the camp experience.
• Resource Management: Oversee materials, facilities, and daily schedules for the camps.
• Administrative Oversight: Maintain accurate records and ensure smooth operations.
