Job summary

Lynch van Otterloo YMCA in Marblehead, MA is seeking a Part-Time Squash Instructor to lead lessons for youth and adults, run clinics, and support community programs. This role offers opportunities to mentor young players and develop the squash community within the YMCA.

The instructor will create a welcoming environment, help players build foundational skills, and collaborate with staff and volunteers to grow participation across programs.

Qualifications

• Passion for squash and youth development.
• Experience playing squash and/or coaching preferred.
• Enjoy working with children and beginner players.

Responsibilities

• Lead squash lessons, clinics, and beginner instruction for youth and adults.
• Create a welcoming, positive, and engaging environment for participants of all skill levels.
• Help players build confidence, sportsmanship, and foundational squash skills.
• Support youth squash sessions and recreational activities.
• Encourage participation and foster long-term interest in the sport.
• Assist with squash events, leagues, round robins, and community programming.
• Build strong relationships with participants, families, and YMCA members.
• Support a culture aligned with the YMCA's mission and values.
