Job summary

Kids for the Future is seeking a part-time Content Creator to visually tell the stories of our student-athletes and hockey program across social platforms. This contractor role blends on-site content capture with remote editing and scheduling, averaging about 20 hours per month.

You'll need a strong portfolio, own photo/video gear, and daytime availability to cover events. The role offers flexible hours with a remote editing component.

Qualifications

  • Portfolio demonstrating engaging, dynamic content.
  • Interest in youth sports, hockey preferred.
  • Experience managing professional social media accounts.
  • Reliable daytime availability to cover events at least one day a week.
  • Ability to commit 1-5 days per week, flexible around events.
  • Own/high-quality photo and video equipment; mobile device acceptable.

Responsibilities

  • Content Capture: photograph and video student-athletes during training, classroom and events.
  • Storytelling: create short-form captions and posts that tell authentic stories.
  • Social Media Management: post regularly across platforms and monitor engagement.
  • Event Coverage: attend daytime events and cover academy activities.
  • Editing and Production: edit media for polished social media content.
  • Alumni Spotlight: develop features on academy alumni.
