Job summary

Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ seeks a Spine Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Nurse with RNFA for inpatient coverage with the orthopedic spine team.

The role is part-time with a rotating day shift and intermittent weekends; ideal candidates have 2+ years in orthopedics/spine and prior OR first assist experience, and must hold NJ APN/PA licensure with current BLS/ACLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited APN or PA program, Masters, or Doctorate degree.
• Valid New Jersey License, APN or PA.
• Active board certification in APN specialty or PA board certification, BLS and ACLS.
• Acute Care, Orthopedics/Trauma/Spine advanced practice.
• At least 2 years’ experience in Orthopedics Acute Care.

Responsibilities

• Assist in rounds and consultations and first assist in spine cases.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and evaluate post operative patients.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
• Occasional cross-coverage with the orthopedic joint/trauma team and residents.
