Job summary

HCA Florida Englewood Hospital is seeking a part-time Speech Language Pathologist to join our patient-centered team. You will plan and administer medically prescribed therapy programs for rehabilitation of communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders, and you will educate patients, families and colleagues.

The role requires a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Florida licensure, CCC, and current BLS certification, with experience in healthcare preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
• State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist for Florida is required.
• CCC certification from ASHA is required.
• Current BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the patient’s condition and administer diagnostic tests to determine the nature of the speech and language problem.
• Establish and modify treatment plans according to policies and patient progress.
• Determine when patient progress meets goals or requires discontinuation of intervention.
• Coordinate referrals to other professionals as necessary.
