Job summary

HCA Florida UCF Lake Nona Hospital is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to help patients improve communication, cognition, and safe swallowing through evidence-based care. You will work within a well-resourced rehabilitation team and be supported in exercising clinical judgment while maintaining clear, efficient workflows.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• SLP licensure required (state-specific).
• BCLS within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate communication, cognitive, and swallowing abilities using structured assessments, standardized tools, and clinical observation.
• Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans to support communication, safe swallowing, and functional progress.
• Document evaluations, daily notes, progress updates, and discharge summaries with accuracy and timeliness; educate patients and families on goals and home strategies.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, rehabilitation staff, and care managers to support coordinated care and smooth transitions.
