Job summary

The Gardens at Camp Hill in Camp Hill, PA, is seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat residents with communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs within a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting.

You will work with an interdisciplinary team to develop individualized plans, provide skilled therapy, complete documentation, and promote resident independence and quality of life while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Current Pennsylvania Speech-Language Pathologist license in good standing.
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• CCC-SLP preferred and/or must meet Pennsylvania licensure requirements.
• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or geriatric care is preferred.
• Strong clinical, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents' speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and resident goals.
• Provide skilled speech-language therapy addressing communication, cognition, voice, and swallowing disorders.
• Perform swallowing evaluations and provide treatment and dietary recommendations with the interdisciplinary team.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate.
• Collaborate with nursing, dietary, PT, OT, and other care team members.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on treatment strategies and swallowing safety.
• Complete evaluations, progress notes, treatment documentation, and discharge summaries accurately.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations and professional standards.
• Promote resident dignity, safety, independence, and quality of life.
