Job summary

Lake Washington School District is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for a 0.4 FTE leave replacement from 09/30/2026 to 06/04/2027, approx. two days per week with flexible service delivery.

The position is at Thoreau Elementary, subject to change based on student needs. The SLP will assess, diagnose, plan and implement therapy, collaborate with staff and families, and coordinate with medical and community providers to support communication goals.

Qualifications

• Washington State ESA certificate with Speech Language Pathology endorsement.
• Experience in school-based settings preferred.
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload as district need and contract.
• Review records and perform assessments in communication areas.
• Establish and support alternative communication methods.
• Plan treatment programs and IEP goals.
• Implement therapy and provide ongoing consultation.
• Maintain comprehensive progress records.
• Communicate with physicians and families about services.
• Coordinate services with community agencies.
• Provide training and supervision for interns.
• Comply with Medicaid rules and district policies.
