Job summary

Springfield Hospital, Inc. is seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist to deliver patient-centered care across inpatient, swing bed, and community diagnostic services in Vermont.

You will evaluate and treat patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders, including dysphagia management and MBSS interpretation, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and supporting discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited Speech Therapy program.
• Master’s or Clinical Doctorate degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a CAA-accredited program or equivalent.
• Experience and/or training in dysphagia evaluation and MBSS.
• Familiarity with inpatient rehabilitation, acute care, and swing bed models of care.
• Current Vermont licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (ASHA CCC-SLP preferred).
• BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• Immunization compliance per policy.
• Proficient in written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the speech-language pathology process to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care across the inpatient unit, swing bed program, and community-based diagnostic services.
• Provide individualized evaluation and treatment for patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders, developing tailored care plans.
• Evaluate patients with dysphagia, including MBSS, in inpatient and community settings.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support optimal outcomes.
• Document evaluations, treatment, and progress; maintain ongoing communication with providers.
• Assist in admission decisions, discharge planning, and referrals for continued services.
