Job summary

North Elementary, part of the Iron County School District, is seeking a Part Time Special Education Paraprofessional to work 27.5 hours per week under the direction of the Special Education Teacher, providing services and support to students with disabilities.

Responsibilities include instructional support, behavior observation, assisting with materials, helping manage classroom systems, guiding student interactions, supervising during lunch, and using Google Docs and email to stay coordinated.

Responsibilities

• Provides instructional support to students and student groups to reinforce learning activities.
• Observes and records behavior and reinforces acceptable behavior.
• Assists certified educators with presentation of learning materials and instructional exercises.
• Participates in development and maintenance of classroom management systems.
• Guides students to interact harmoniously with peers.
• Supervises students in all areas of the school.
• Requires regular, reliable attendance and performance.
• Operates office equipment (computers, copy machines, etc.).
• Monitors students inside and outside during lunch hours.
