Job summary

Iron County School District is seeking a Part Time Special Education Paraprofessional at Enoch Elementary to support students with disabilities. The role runs 27.5 hours per week and will remain open until filled.

The paraprofessional works under the direction of the Special Education Teacher to provide educational services, supervise students, and help implement instructional activities. A reliable schedule and willingness to learn school systems are required.

Qualifications

• Basic computer knowledge required.
• Familiarity with Google Docs and email is expected.
• Willingness to learn and use all school computer systems and software.

Responsibilities

• Provides instructional support to students and student groups to reinforce learning activities.
• Assists in observing and recording behavior patterns to reinforce acceptable behavior.
• Assists certified educators with presentation of learning materials and exercises.
• Participates in development and maintenance of classroom management systems.
• Guides students to work and interact harmoniously with peers.
• Supervises students in all areas of the school.
• Maintains regular, reliable, predictable attendance and performance.
• Operates office equipment such as computers and copiers.
• Monitors students inside and outside during lunch hour.
