Job summary

Educational Service District 112 is seeking a Special Education Paraeducator to support Mansfield School District in Washington. This position is 32 hours per week on a school-year schedule.

Reporting to the Special Education Teacher, you will assist with lesson planning, provide one-on-one and small group instruction, support classroom management, collect progress data, and communicate with parents and staff to promote a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• One of several educational paths to qualify as paraeducator is accepted.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Special Education Teacher with lesson planning and prep.
• Provide one-on-one and small group instruction.
• Support classroom management and student observation.
• Collect data and report student progress.
• Communicate with parents and staff as directed by the teacher.
• Provide positive behavior support aligned with IEP/IFSP.
• Attend to physical needs of students and assist with personal hygiene.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development.
• May attend parent conferences.
