Job summary

Millennium Health is seeking a Part Time Specimen Collector in Augusta, ME. The role involves collecting urine and oral fluid specimens, processing and packaging for shipping, and serving as the liaison between clinics and our laboratory.

Ideal candidates have 6+ months in specimen collection or 1+ year in medical support, 2+ years of customer service, and a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation. HIPAA and data security must be maintained at all times.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of specimen collector experience or 1+ year in medical field supporting patients.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid specimens.
• Process and package collections for shipping.
• Serve as intermediary between practice/clinic and laboratory.
• Record patient information and physician order details.
• Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information.
• Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite.
• Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens.
• Driving between facilities may be required.
