Millennium Health is seeking a Part-Time Specimen Collector in Augusta, ME. You will collect patient urine and oral fluid, prepare shipments, and serve as a liaison between clinics and the lab.

The ideal candidate has 6+ months in specimen collection or 1+ year in the medical field, strong customer service, and a valid driver’s license. This role requires HIPAA compliance and physical ability, with driving between facilities as needed.

Qualifikationen

• 6+ months of experience as a specimen collector or 1+ years in the medical field, directly supporting patients preferred.
• 2+ years of customer service experience can be considered in place of medical experience.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate a smartphone and computer required.
• Valid driver’s license required; reliable transportation.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, HiTrust, confidentiality and compliance policies is essential.
• Ability to ensure administrative, physical and technical cybersecurity controls are maintained.
• Physical requirements: sitting 60%, walking 20%, standing 20%, lifting up to 20 lbs.

Aufgaben

• Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid (saliva) specimens.
• Process and package collections for shipping.
• Serve as an intermediary between the clinic and the laboratory.
• Record patient information, physician orders, and laboratory details.
• Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information in ordering portal.
• Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite.
• Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens as applicable.
• Drive between facilities as required.
