Job summary

Millennium Health is seeking a Part Time Male Specimen Collector in Cannon Falls, MN. The role requires observed collections from male patients and involves collecting urine or oral fluid specimens, processing and shipping, and serving as a liaison between clinics and the lab.

The ideal candidate has 6+ months in specimen collection or 1+ year in a medical setting, plus strong customer service and tech skills. A valid driver's license and HIPAA compliance are required.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of specimen collector experience or 1+ year in medical field preferred.
• 2+ years of customer service experience can substitute for medical experience.
• Smartphone and computer navigation required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Experience with medications/diagnostic codes is a plus.
• HIPAA/HiTrust confidentiality and compliance adherence required.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Physical requirements: sitting 60%, walking 20%, standing 20%, lifting up to 20 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid specimens.
• Process and package collections for shipping.
• Serve as intermediary between the practice/clinic and the laboratory.
• Record patient information, physician order details, and pertinent laboratory information.
• Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information in ordering portal.
• Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite.
• Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens (when applicable).
• Driving from/to multiple facilities may be required.
