Job summary

Lone Star College-CyFair is seeking a PT Coach for Special Olympics teams and wants a candidate who helps students develop related skills. You will lead practices, train sport skills, and serve as a positive mentor on and off the field.

You will encourage academic and athletic success, recruit student athletes, and work with a diverse student population while inspiring continued education. Flexible hours and evenings/weekends may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must become First Aid/CPR/AED certified.
• Must be able to obtain Special Olympics coaching certification before participation.

Responsibilities

• Provides positive leadership with strong communication skills.
• Actively participates in practices to train on sport skills.
• Encourages student athletes to succeed on the field and academically and to work hard, to graduate, and to never stop learning.
• Compares how discipline on the field relates to real life decisions and why it is important to remain positive and focused.
• Recruit student athletes to attend LSC and work effectively with the diverse student population while inspiring them continue their education.
• Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned.
