Job summary

The Collaborative for Educational Services is seeking a Special Education Teacher for the Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center in Shirley, MA. This part-time role serves two students, delivering four hours of instruction weekly across two sessions.

The position offers a consistent schedule with 1:1 instruction, access to instructional coaches, and strong professional development opportunities, all within a quiet, distraction-free classroom setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Licensed in Moderate Disabilities (5-12).
• Demonstrated commitment to teaching high-risk youth and equity in education.
• Preferred: Masters Degree in Education or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide four hours of teaching per week for two students (two sessions of 2 hours each).
• Deliver instruction in a 1:1 setting within Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center.
• Collaborate with behavioral and clinical staff to support student needs.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and licensure pathways.
