Job summary

Three Peaks Elementary School in Iron County is seeking a Part Time Special Education Assistant to support IEP processes and daily school operations.

Under supervision, you will manage timelines, collect data with privacy, prepare agendas, and assist with meetings and minutes. A strong familiarity with basic computer tools (Google Docs) and reliable attendance are required; you will work 27.5 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Experience in education or administrative support preferred.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to follow directions and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Creates and manages timelines to meet compliance requirements.
• Manages timelines with relevant staff members.
• Collects and compiles student data, ensuring student privacy is maintained.
• Writes and edits various types of documents, including procedural documentation.
• Coordinates and arranges meetings, prepares agendas, reserves and prepares facilities, and records and transcribes minutes of meetings.
• Maintains and designs filing systems; acts as custodian of records.
• Assists students with emergency, medical, hygienic, and illness issues by reviewing medical records and contacting parents or professionals.
• Regular, reliable attendance and job performance is required.
• Answers and screens telephone calls to provide information, take messages, or transfer calls.
• Locates and attaches appropriate files to correspondence when needed.
