Job summary

Patterson Elementary is seeking an Instructional Assistant Special Education I to support certified teachers in monitoring and instructing students with IEPs. This part-time role (29 hours/week) requires collaboration with staff to maintain a positive learning environment.

Under supervision, you will reinforce lessons, assist with data collection, and help with routine clerical tasks. Minimum qualifications include an Associate degree or 60 college credits or ParaPro, with preferred experience

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or 60 college credit hours required at time of hire or pass the ParaPro Test provided by the district free of charge.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience working with children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom work/homework under teacher direction and reinforce objectives.
• Assist in development of instructional materials and classroom setup.
• Collect data on academic and behavior goals as instructed.
• Support positive behavior interventions and safety policies.
