Job summary

The Westmoreland Intermediate Unit is seeking a Part-Time Personal Care Assistant at Clairview School in Greensburg, PA.

Responsibilities include supporting students in special education services, providing instructional, behavioral and physical assistance, data collection, and daily care tasks; requires High School Diploma or GED with 0-3 years experience; starting pay is $14.10 per hour, with travel within Westmoreland County as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED; AA/AS or additional education preferred.
• Minimum Experience: 0-3 Years experience.

Responsibilities

• Supports students at the direction of the teacher and supervisor.
• Provides instructional, behavioral and/or physical assistance to an individual student or a small group, including assistive technology and on-task prompting.
• Works with students on organizational skills, guides activities, and monitors progress.
• Collects daily data and documents progress notes in a prescribed format per session.
• Attends meetings as required and carries out prescribed instructions from supervisors.
