Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; AA degree, 48 college units, or Paraeducator Exam.
• Experience as Behavioral Therapist/Interventionist is preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions and establish good relationships with students.

Responsibilities

• Direct support to students with special needs.
• Assist with in-class activities per district staff instructions.
• Prepare and develop instructional materials and activities.
• Maintain organized classroom environment and manage materials.
• Support social skills development and behavior management techniques.
• Assist with classroom technology and adaptive devices as needed.
• Work with students individually or in groups and provide instruction.
• May accompany children to community activities and supervise play.
