Job summary

Monroe County Schools is seeking a Half-Time Special Education Aide/Bus Aide for Mountain View School. The role includes assisting in instructional activities and transporting students to events.

The candidate must be able to lift and supervise children and may require health care training with confidentiality obligations. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, passing the state aide test, bus aide training, CPR and First Aid certification, and successful drug screening and

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED required.
• Willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification.
• Pass state aide test and have bus aide training.
• Must pass drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher in instructional activities as directed.
• Protect students, equipment, materials and facilities.
• Provide limited rotating supervision not related to instruction.
• Assist with transportation to/from school and special events.
