Montgomery County Public Schools is accepting applications for 2026-2027 School Bus Aide positions that may become available within our division for the 2026-2027 school year. The School Bus Aide assists the School Bus Driver by providing help and care for students with special needs during their transportation to and from school.

This substitute role is on an as-needed basis, with potential placement at multiple schools within the district.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or literacy test
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written communication
• Move, lift and secure students up to 150 lbs
• Must complete required training for school bus aides
• Dependability and punctuality required

Responsibilities

• Assist the School Bus Driver by providing help and care for students with special needs during transportation to and from school.
• Work as an on-call substitute on an as-needed basis for district buses
