Responsibilities

• Assist the school bus driver in operation and emergencies, including evacuations.
• Assist special education students with loading/unloading and ensuring safety during transport.
• Instruct passengers on safety rules to maintain bus safety.
• Monitor students for safety and welfare on and around the bus.
• Assist in implementing strategies to manage student behavior.
• Report incidents to district personnel and complete required paperwork.
• Secure students with safety equipment as needed.
• Support bus drivers with post-trip checks and route planning.
• Perform additional duties to support the transportation team.
