True Precision Medical in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a dependable SPD Technician to support our surgical team. You will clean, inspect, sterilize, assemble, and properly store surgical instruments to ensure patient safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in sterile processing preferred, especially in ambulatory surgery center or surgical setting.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification preferred.
• Knowledge of instrument care, decontamination, sterilization and infection prevention practices.
• Ability to follow manufacturer instructions and facility policies.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Dependable attendance and ability to work collaboratively with clinical team.

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, and decontaminate reusable instruments and equipment.
• Inspect instruments for cleanliness, damage, and proper function; report concerns and remove defective items.
• Assemble, package, and label instrument trays and sets according to procedures.
• Operate sterilizers and cleaning equipment per manufacturer instructions and policies.
• Perform sterilization monitoring and document results; escalate failed cycles.
• Maintain sterilization records and instrument traceability.
• Store and distribute sterile supplies with proper stock rotation.
• Coordinate with nursing and surgical staff to ensure instruments are ready for procedures.
