Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Spanish or related field with 18 graduate-level Spanish credits.
• Native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English.
• Post-secondary or secondary foreign language teaching experience preferred.
• Experience working with adult or non-traditional students preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to teach in flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends.
• Experience teaching blended, hybrid, and online classes a plus.

Position Summary

The Division of Liberal Arts English and Foreign Language Department is seeking qualified adjunct faculty to facilitate courses in Spanish by delivering high-quality instruction in flexible formats including hybrid or online classes. Adjunct faculty play a critical role in supporting student success, particularly for non-traditional students balancing education with work, family, and other responsibilities.

Education/ Experience

What you will need to be successful!

• A Master's degree in Spanish, or a Master's degree in a related field with at least 18 graduate-level credit hours in Spanish
• Native or near-native fluency in both spoken and written Spanish and English
• Previous post-secondary or secondary foreign language teaching experience is strongly preferred
• Experience working with adult or non-traditional students also preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to teach in flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends
• Experience teaching blended, hybrid, and online classes a plus
