Job summary

Livingstone College is seeking a Part-Time Adjunct Professor of Political Science to deliver courses in person and potentially hybrid/online formats. You will support non-traditional students balancing work and family by providing engaging, student-centered instruction.

Responsibilities include teaching assigned courses to established curricula, delivering timely feedback, maintaining communication, and submitting syllabi and grade reports promptly.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in the teaching discipline or a related field (required); doctorate preferred for some subject areas.
• Prior teaching experience in higher education, adult education, or a related setting preferred.
• Experience working with adult or non-traditional students strongly preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to teach in flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends.
• Experience teaching blended, hybrid, and online classes are a plus.

Position Summary

The Division of Liberal Arts and Humanities is seeking qualified adjunct faculty to facilitate courses in Political Science by delivering high-quality instruction in flexible formats, including in person and potentially hybrid or online classes. Adjunct faculty play a critical role in supporting student success, particularly for non-traditional students balancing education with work, family, and other responsibilities.
