Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Ohio is seeking a part-time Sonographer to perform a variety of ultrasound procedures, both professional and non-clinical, with emphasis on image quality and patient care.

The role requires RDMS certification, graduation from an ultrasound program, BLS, and strong communication skills, with a focus on safety and teamwork; familiarity with RIS for charges is included.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Ultrasound program.
• Registered as a Sonographer by the RDMS.
• Prior experience as a Sonographer highly preferred.
• Current BLS Certification is required

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of Ultrasound procedures both professional and non-clinical consistent with optimal image quality.
• Responsible for entering on-line charges in the RIS system and accountable for charges as specified by Administrative Policy.
• Provides patient care, ensures patient safety, promotes evidence-based practice and quality initiatives.
