Job summary

Momentum PTN is hiring a Social Skills and Community Integration Assistant (SSCI) to support leaders running small groups of children aged 4-12 years, both on site and in the community. You will help reach individual developmental goals while building social and community skills, with a direct path to a rewarding career in healthcare.

The role offers part-time hours with benefits and hands-on training, emphasizing safety, dignity, and independence for participants.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Enrolled in or completion of bachelor's degree required.
• Basic knowledge of child development and familiarity with MPTN programs.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English required.
• Spanish bilingual skills preferred.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Communicate and work professionally and cooperatively with others.
• Pass post-offer, pre-employment screening (background check, TB test, drug screen) and work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Assists group leader with activities on site and in the community.
• Promotes a friendly, comfortable, and safe environment.
• Respects and promotes rights of individuals.
• Participates in social skills and community integration training.
• Assists and supports the group leader with activities throughout the program.
• Takes supplies to off-site sessions as needed.
• Participates in set-up and clean-up of group program.
• Upholds Momentum's policies and procedures.
