Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, counseling, social work, or related field.
• At least five years of entrepreneurial, business management, financial counseling or education experience.
• Ability to assess unique business needs and relay information clearly.
• Ability to advise, counsel, and mentor individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and management assistance via on-site visits, online platforms, email and phone.
• Counsel and advise owners of small business or those starting a business on key topics.
• Develop and record business concepts using tools like Business Model Canvas and business plan outlines.
• Deliver quality programs, plan and evaluate advising and training activities.
• Keep clients informed about regulatory changes affecting their business.
• Coordinate outreach, client development and training programs; respond within 48 hours.
• Engage with state agencies and partners to support CTSBDC services.
