Job summary

Portland Community College (PCC) is seeking a talented Business Advisor for the Casual Professional track to support the Small Business Development Center (SBDC). This on-site role reports to the Director, SBDC and offers flexible, part-time hours.

You'll provide one-on-one business advising, refer clients to services, maintain records for SBA and the Oregon SBDC network, and collaborate with the PCC team to help clients start, grow, and expand healthy businesses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or related field, or three years practical business experience.
• Three years of recent practical experience in business advising and/or business ownership.
• Proficiency with standard office software and online applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one business advising to small business owners.
• Refer clients to SBDC services, classes, programs.
• Refer clients to resources, agencies, or materials as needed.
• Maintain accurate records for SBA and Oregon SBDC Network for tracking and funding purposes.
• Collaborate with the SBDC Director and PCC advisors to serve clients.
• Communicate professionally to help clients start, grow, and expand healthy businesses.
